| Stoke Newington Common Users' Group (SNUG) has campaigned for, obtained funding for, designed and oversaw the construction of, a playground on the Common. The playground was designed to appeal to a wide age range of children. It was also made from natural looking materials to fit in with the woody environment of the Common. SNUG also commissioned 6 recycled hardwood benches for the playground from Small World Landscapes, a local landscaper. Funding was obtained from the London Marathon Charitable Trust and the Association of London Goverments. The playground has now been adopted by Hackney Council Parks Department who have accepted responsibility for maintenance and upkeep. In the event of any queries please call Hackney on 020 8356 8467.
